Hi I'm Mike. I like helping artists around a new release or tour. And putting on shows from time to time. And posting stuff. Ask me everything.

Little Racer “Little Racer”
The self-titled track: such a important declaration that can go horribly awry. Yet Little Racer seem to say exactly who they are and what they set out to accomplish with this number. UK label Young and Lost Club took note and will be releasing their first 7” in the upcoming months. You can dig on the Brooklyn trio’s new-and-mastered song here in the meantime and CMJ goers can catch them at Saturday at Pianos, opening the Sippy Cup Everything Showcase at 7pm sharp.

Little Racer performs “Split for the Coast” at The Rock Shop, Brooklyn

Here is a song to add to your summer mix tape. Little Racer is a band base in Brooklyn but they ride waves of pop music that leans toward the tropical. If this song doesn’t make you want to hop in a car and split for the coast..well then you must not live near one. Happy Summertime!

"Although this is an indie band for sure—as the hallmarks of loosey-goosy attitude and clumping of constant cleverness are ever-present—fact is the sound of Little Racer is of the more original and engaging to silently creep the LES-BK circuit in quite a while. The vocals are surprisingly clear, the drumming approaches freeform but never leaves the instrumentation’s side, and the overall backing is generally effervescent. Incorporating moments of surf rock and pop, it is surprising more locals aren’t crowing about this Brooklyn trio—because, although this phrase is très cliché, we’ll say it—these guys are pretty cool. With Stephon LaMar, Omega Express and Small Wonder."

LITTLE RACER // NYC SHOWS IN MAY

Split For the Coast by Little Racer

The Town by Little Racer

Hey New York City! Little Racer has four local shows in the upcoming month:

5/15 @ Bruar Falls
5/17 @ Public Assembly
5/26 @ Rock Shop
5/30 @ Mercury Lounge

In other LR news, the band should have some songs on wax by year’s end. Stay tuned for info.

"Stumbled upon this gem from Brooklyn’s Little Racer the other day. Def one of those tracks that I liked right away, great hook. Go ahead and see if you do, the play button is right there. Not much info to be found on them except that they are playing tonight at Glasslands 4/12 w/ Surf City, Darlings, and Lingering Doubts. Check out there other tracks on bandcamp."
"Just came across these fellows last week. Sounds like California with a Brooklyn edge. It’s LoFi goodness that’s hard not to warm up to. Hope to see more out of these guys."

"somewhat psychedelic vocals and poppy electric undertones"
"The band’s music isn’t too far from what The Beach Boys may have sounded like in 2010, writing concise, reverb soaked, jangly pop that could be equally enjoyed spun out on psychedelics as it could at a high school dance in the 50s. Dreamy lounge act melodies push the vocals over lo-fi guitars and loose grooving rhythms that is easy to digest and highly enjoyable."
