Meet New York’s Little Racer. They make some fantastic pop music, as evidenced with Songs, a bundle of three compositions available digitally and free via http://littleracer.bandcamp.com.

Songs may cause sing-alongs, smiles, and hooks lodged in corners of your brain for weeks on end. The trio’s influences are a moving target: “Split For The Coast” sounds like Talking Heads if they cut their teeth in casino lounges, until the chorus enters and you wonder where Brian Wilson came from. Bookended by their self-titled track and “The Town”, you’ll be amazed at how quickly 12 minutes can pass.

Little Racer has a number of upcoming NYC shows, and plenty more to come in the following year. Stay tuned.
