Happy Jawbone Family Band are gonna join us from Vermont, armed with their charming brand of garage pop. A good way to prepare for them is to check out their 2011 Feeding Tube-released full-length O.K. Midnight, You Win, which was one of my favorite records released last year.

Bozmo released an album last year too called Hosanna in the Highest, which came out on cassette in the spring but has recently been given the vinyl treatment thanks to Peaking Pear Records. Dive into it on their bandcamp, and see why folks like Impose and Boston Phoenix are digging on their Kinks-y rock and roll.

ZEBU! straddle Brooklyn, NY and Easthampton, MA, an experimental rock duo that manages to incorporate elements of noise, surf, and punk into their minimalist setup. They’re in town to support their seventh (!) full-length titled Chill Wave. Excellent.

Trabants arose partially from the ashes of Boston locals Ketman, specializing in instrumental 60s rock and roll that will spark interest of anyone familiar with The Shadows, Dick Dale, spaghetti westerns, and espionage films. They’ll be armed with copies of their 2011 released Highwire Surfing and their recently released, partially live An Evening With Trabants.
