Awful Man is a new project made up of some other excellent Boston bands, my favorite being the now-defunct Bread and Roses. Expect faster, louder, turned up. If you’re lucky, they may still have a cassette for sale. Websites are for chumps.

Four Eyes are about to release the followup to their debut 7”, which only came out earlier in the year. That 7” was three songs of purely delivered punk rock, the kind that would make the Swami Records family proud. “Back to Life” only solidifies their songwriting while upgrading the audio quality.

The BFs have a sound that will pair perfectly with Charlies Kitchen’s black-and-white-checker tiles and punky surfy jukebox. The melodies and harmonies from their two singles bring me back to the Buddy Holly era… might want to check your pulse if you don’t find your feet moving up and down the room.
